Kids and adults of all ages will love Chessington. I’ve been bringing my children here since they were babies. It’s a fantastic day out as so much to see and do from rides, shows, animals, sea life centre, soft play area and so much more; there’s too much for one day!
Chessington also has 2 hotels onsite - the Safari and Aztec hotels - and both are brilliant for children of all ages. Rooms are nice and spacious and I recommend the theme rooms as the kids have a separate sleeping area with bunk bed. These can accommodate up to 3 children as they also have a pull out bed underneath. They also have their own tv and a safe which they do a quiz to get pop badges. It’s also got a lovely swimming pool and splash play area with slides and the water is not too deep so perfect for toddlers and big kids. For dinner I recommend the Aztec buffet restaurant which caters for even the fussiest eater and it has a light show to keep the children entertained. In the evening the hotel provides evening entertainment which is usually a kids' disco and family competitions from 6-9pm. During the summer months (May to September) they have glamping tents that are set away from the hotel, also with their own entertainment and restaurant which my children love...
Chessingtons cost £48 for an adult and a child for a 1 day visit. The hotel prices start from £250 a night including tickets for up to 5 people. However, as there is so much to see and do I would highly recommend a Chessington or a Merlin Annual pass. We live fairly near and so invested in a Merlin Annual Pass and you can use this at Legoland, Thorpe Park, Warwick Castle, sea life centres and many London attractions like Madam Tussaud’s, Shrek's Adventure, London Eye etc etc.. It also gives discount on the hotels and food/drinks/merchandise in the park. The Merlin Annual Pass has definitely been my lifesaver to keep kids entertained during half terms.
