Situated in Bembridge on the Isle of Wight, Nodes Point is a destination which we travel to frequently. We just love this place! This is one of the smaller resorts that Parkdean operate. With direct beach access for swimming and dipping around in the rock pools and an indoor swimming pool with both a baby pool and larger pool complete with slide, Nodes Point is a great resort for easy and laid back family fun.
We have stayed in several different accommodation units there including a chalet during the summer of 2020. There are lots of free or cheap activities for the kids to do here, but make sure you book online before you travel as they get booked up fast especially on those wet days! Horse riding is available from Sally's which is separate to the Parkdean activities, so make sure you give them a call in advance and book your slot. There is a nice playground in the middle of the resort which has a secure fence around it and located away from the main car park. There are lots of paths all around the site which makes it excellent for little bike riders and a pleasant stroll to the restaurant and bar.
The restaurant has a clubhouse feel with a huge menu available right throughout the day. It overlooks the main stage which hosts not only the evening adult entertainment but discos and kids activities. There is also a small bar and stage attached so there is plenty of space for activities and kids to run!
Checking in during the Covid-19 restrictions was exceptionally easy as well with an email in advance to tell you what unit number and whereabouts your accommodation is, plus all the necessary documents were on the table of your unit when you arrived. If you are looking to book out of season there are some great deals which include the ferry crossing in the booking price, which is organised by the resort at the time of booking. We opted for the chalet to give us all a bit more room.
Parkdean, Nodes Point have got the balance right! Plenty for the kids to do, free or reasonably priced activities, large safe bar/restaurant and even a shop full with pocket money toys. It really is a magical place!
