What a great find! The third largest nature reserve of its kind in the UK, Hogmoor Inclosure also boasts some wonderful natural play areas with large climbing frame (made of wooden poles), big slides and rope bridges, zip wire and a swing see-saw (yes, I'd never seen anything like it either!). It boasts a wonderful reasonably priced cafe (just turned one year old) and the site is free to access.

If you can peel the kids away from the play area there are some lovely walks in the woods in the reserve (dogs also welcome) with lots of space for the kids to run and play. There are also plenty of picnic benches to picnic at and a lovely family feel to the area.

Definitely worth a visit and a great little gem.
