What an amazing weekend! Located on the fringes of West Wittering, Stubcroft Farm is one of the only campsites you can pre-book in the area. Travelling as a group of 2 families, we were located in one of the middle fields which was safe for the kids to run wild with plenty of space for football and games. There is a lovely friendly feel to the site with kids mixing in the middle of the fields to play till the sun goes down. The site is very well catered for a campsite. The shop not only has the basics but you can order your meat for your BBQ and they will hold on to it in the fridge until you return from your day on the beach.
Other facilities include laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer, Calor and camping gas, campers' fridge – freezer and campfires, log sales and barbecues.
Washing small kids here is made easy as the family/disabled facilities are big enough to take everyone in and scrub off the sand from the beach, and there really is a lot of sand!
A fantastic family site, with lots of facilities available and being pre-bookable makes a quick weekend away very easy without taking the house with you.
With regards to West Wittering, this is an amazing beach with miles of sandy shoreline. During the season of 2020 the beach operated a strict pre-booking system to ensure that there was plenty of room for social distancing. This may continue into the 2021 season. Either way we suggest you show up early as there can be a very long queue to get parked at the beach.
Unfortunately we have witnessed missing kids on the beach before which can turn a family day out into a horrific experience and doesn’t create the treasured memories that you are hoping for. So make use of the lifeguard’s wristband system for the kids to write your contact details on and ensure you are always between the swim flags!
The new Café at the West Wittering beach is well stocked for all you need so don’t panic if you forget something.
Wetsuits and body boards are a complete must for adults as well as the kids!!
